Race for the Cure

Okay, so Jamie (my better half) got us involved in the Race For The Cure in two weeks and I got real excited to be a part of something very important. Being a product of the 80's, I was a fan of The Cure and like a lot of their music. I did think Robert Smith was a little too Goth for me, but when he did play himself on the MechaStreisand episode of South Park, I had an all new respect for him. Thinking of South Park, am I the only one that get's the character Towlie? Anyway.. They had some really cool songs and I had a lot of friends in High School that were really into them. Stace was a big fan and I know Nik loved them too.
Well anyway, I just found out that the Race For The Cure was not for the music group, but for breast cancer awarness. I thought we were all pretty aware of it, but oh well. I am always down for a good cause, especially when healthy breasts are the concern. So I wanted to wear my I Heart Boobs shirt, and Jamie tells me that it is inappropriate. I disagreed, so I need help. If you are reading my blog today, please send me your thoughts on this topic.
I would also think that maybe starting other walks for forgotten groups of the 80's. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I am planning on the first annual KajaGooGoo 5K run in January.

Megan Fox

Wow... Megan Fox is really hot. I mean like sick hot. I just got my new Maxim and she is on the cover. Holy crap!!

Do I really need a haircut

Well, I was told today by my girlfriend that I desperately needed to get a haircut. I let it grow out over the summertime and it got really long and then I cut it short into a faux hawk that looked really good. I like my hair long, but in order to have it the way I really want it, it would take about a year of just letting it do it's thing. I spent so much time in the pool that it dried out really bad. So now I just want to let it grow into a Seth Rogan type Fro, but Jamie said no way.. I would look way to "Jewey" as she put it. So I am left trying to figure out what to do with it and I thought about starting a vote with all my friends to get their input, but then I thought, none of the people I know really give a shit about the length of my hair. Not that they don't care about me, just they have more important things in their lives to think about. I guess they are right, I may be spending too much time thinking about it to. Fuck it... I am growing it out again. I will get it cut when the government figures out the whole bailout thing.
Anyway, if you would like to add your two cents.. please feel free.
Thank you and god bless...

Toast

So today I made some toast. It wasn't anything special bread wise, just some plain ol' Sara Lee wheat bread that I always buy because it is on sale. When you get it fresh, it is so soft and good. Sometimes I will splurge and get sourdough or rye. I use a GE 4 slice top loading toaster which is great for making toast or pop tarts for two. It's a standard white toaster... nothing to fancy for me. So I put the bread in, and in just a few short minutes I have toast. No background in cooking or cullinary arts mind you.
My dilema was the spread. I have margarine which is always good, and I have a few different flavors of jelly (strawberry, grape and some apple stuff) pretty typical jellies. I decided to go with the margarine melted and then added the apple. It was really good. It had the crunch from the toast, the savory side from the margarine and the sweet from the apple. It was dead on balls great toast. Well, that is my story today. I did want to see if I could write an entire paragaraph on toast... mission accomplished. I can now cross this off of my things to do in life list.
